The step before
the lawyer.

Tell it what happened, in your own words. It will tell you what your situation is usually called, which office handles it, whether you need a lawyer at all, and what papers to bring. It will not tell you whether you have a case.

Not a lawyer. Not legal advice. Nothing you type is kept.

Why this exists

Asking already costs money.

In the Philippines a consultation runs to a couple of thousand pesos before anything begins, and acceptance fees and retainers come after it. That makes the first step into the justice system a purchase, and people who cannot make it either give up or act blind. Both are expensive in a different way.

Three gates before advice. Most people stop at the first one and act blind. This sits before all of them.

How it works

Name it. Find it.
Reach it.

Three jobs, and nothing beyond them. Everything it produces has to serve one of the three, and anything that would decide your case instead is refused on the spot.

No verdict at the end. A door, and the papers to take through it.

What it does

Six things, all of them free.

Names the problemYou cannot ask for help with something you cannot name, and the wrong name sends you to the wrong office.
Points at the lawWhich rules govern situations of that kind, so you arrive knowing roughly what is being talked about.
Finds the right doorBarangay, small claims, the labour department, free legal aid. Which one, and whether a lawyer is needed at all.
Flags the clockEvery matter has a deadline, and running out of time is how people without lawyers most often lose. It says so, loudly.
Prefers the free routeWhere a free or lawyer-optional channel exists, that is the one named first.
Tells you what to bringSo the one free consultation you get is not spent being told to come back with your payslips.

What it is not

It will not decide your case.

No verdicts, no numbers. It will not say whether you have a case, whether you will win, what you are owed, or how long you have. Those turn on facts and documents a person has to look at, and being confidently wrong about them would cost you the very thing you came here to protect.
It is not a lawyer, and the label is not the point.Applying law to your particular facts is the practice of law whatever the thing doing it is called. So this does not do it. It gets you to someone who can, faster and better prepared than you would have arrived alone.

Questions that ask it to decide something are caught before they ever reach the model, and answered with where to go instead. That is a deliberate design choice, taken after measuring that simply instructing a model not to advise does not work.

Start anywhere

You do not need the right words.

Describe it the way you would to a friend. Working out what it is called is the first thing this does for you.
